Resigning Gracefully
We understand that resigning can be an emotional and stressful experience. Your PointOne recruiter can help you through the details of your resignation.
We recommend that you prepare a resignation letter. This letter should be brief and very formal. Your letter should be addressed to your immediate supervisor and a copy should be sent to your Human Resource Department.
Sample letter:
Dear _____________,
I've decided to resign from ________________________Co. Inc. as of ______________.
This decision does not reflect any dissatisfaction or unhappiness with my current position at ______________; on the contrary, my job and the company have been very helpful to my career development.
However, an opportunity has presented itself, which I simply cannot turn down. I do not wish to consider a counter offer and ask only that you wish me well in this new career endeavor.
I have enjoyed working with you and will always speak very highly of the Company and you personally.
Sincerely,
